Dr. Brian J. Strasnick
Founder, President, CEO
Dr. Strasnick founded Willow Laboratories in 1995. Prior to 1995, Dr. Strasnick was in a private practice as an addiction specialist. He has degrees in Pharmacy, Psychology and Law. He is board-certified in Addiction Treatment, Forensics, Counseling and Pharmacology. Dr. Strasnick serves on the Board of Directors of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association and Vasoactive Pharmaceuticals.
Joe Caponigro
Chief Operating Officer
Joe is the Chief Operating Officer and Compliance Officer of Willow Laboratories and reports directly to the President and CEO of Willow. As the COO, Joe is involved with all aspects of the business functions. Joe leads a management team and management consultants who contribute to the development of Willow’s operational solutions. In addition, as Compliance Officer, Joe coordinates with multiple departments to lead the efforts of best in industry processes and practices. Joe, who graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Isenberg School of Management, resides locally in the North Shore with his wife and three children.
Dr. Lou Traficante
Laboratory Director
Dr. Traficante's educational background is in Biochemistry, Toxicology, and Neuropharmacology. He received his Ph.D. at Rutgers University in New Jersey and did his postdoctoral work at the New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Psychiatric hospital in New York. He is the author of over 40 publications in the field of drug and alcohol metabolism. Dr. Traficante, a recognized expert in the field of drug testing, is board certified by the American Board of Forensic Toxicologists, and routinely provides expert testimony to courts, attorneys, and other legal entities. Dr. Traficante continues to provide educational forums, seminars, and workshops to a wide variety of organizations including the Committee for Public Counsel Services, colleges and universities, and national conferences. He has been the laboratory director for Willow Laboratories and Medical Center for the last 11 years.
Sean Kocur
Laboratory Manager
Mr. Sean Kocur is currently the laboratory manager
at Willow Laboratories & Medical
Ctr. He has been in this position for five years,
and prior to accepting this position, he built
the GC/MS laboratory at Willow and developed many
of the confirmatory methods that are still used
to this day. His educational background includes
undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry,
a Masters degree in Toxicology, and is finishing
his Ph.D in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Northeastern
University. Mr. Kocur is a board certified chemist
and toxicologist. He is also a member of the American
Society for Clinical Pathology, the American Academy
of Forensic Sciences, the Society of Toxicology,
the Society of Forensic Toxicologists, as well
as many other national and international scientific
organizations. He has performed more than 50 presentations
in the field of toxicology at the local and national
level. As a former Marine he was decorated with
a commendation distinguishing him as the top of
his class.
Matthew Carter
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Matt Carter joined Willow Laboratories in 2007. Prior to that, he was the head of investor relations for Vaso Active Pharmaceuticals, a publicly
traded pharmaceutical company. He joined Vaso in 2004 as a consultant to assist the company in its initial public offering. Following a successful
public offering, he was hired by the company to handle all investor relations. In addition to working with Vaso Active, between 2003 and 2007, he
facilitated a number of financing transactions, both private and public. Prior to that he worked with mutual funds at the State Street Corporation.
He received his BA from Colby College and is currently pursuing his MBA from Boston College.
Stacey Hughes
Director of Human Resources
Stacey has been with Willow Labs for 6 years. Starting in 2003, she signed on as the Director of Human Resources, as well as the Strategic Account Manager. Stacey specializes in managing dual roles while maintaining the day to day operations among Willow personnel. Graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and an Associates Degree in Accounting and Business Administration, Stacey has also obtained two different certificates in HR Management and Supervisor Management from the University of Maine in Orono. In addition, Stacey is a DATIA-Certified Professional Collector and Trainer. Lastly, she is a certified Breath Alcohol Instructor from Intoximeters. Stacey is an established, knowledgeable resource at Willow and a pleasure to have as a member of our staff.
Anthony Dichio
Director of Operations
Anthony Dichio is the Director of Operations
for Willow Laboratories. Dichio oversees Willow's
entire operation. He reports to Joe Caponigro,
COO and Dr. Brian Strasnick, CEO and President
of Willow Laboratories and Medical Center. He joined
Willow Laboratories in November of 2005. Prior
to this, Dichio was the United States Marshal for
the District of Massachusetts for three years,
where he was responsible for a 30 million dollar
budget, oversaw the protection of the Federal Courts,
Federal Judges and Federal Prisoners. Dichio is
also a retired Massachusetts State Police Officer
after 22 years of honorable service. During his
last twelve years with the State Police, he was
assigned to the Executive Protection Unit. This
unit was solely responsible for the personal protection
of the Governor and his/her family within Massachusetts,
the United States and abroad. Dichio holds a Bachelors
Degree in Criminal Justice.
Rosie Sanchez
Director of Billing
Rosita Sanchez joined Willow Laboratories and Medical Center in early 2000. Ms Sanchez has served WLMC in various capacities and currently is responsible for Willow’s billing department. With 25 years experience in medical billing, she attended Hunter College in New York City and has acquired a certificate in medical coding at Endicott College.
